At our Clinic facilities in South London we have been seeing private patients since June 2008, and we have established ourselves as one of the leading Orthotic service providers for both NHS patients and the Private Patient sector of the UK. We provide experienced Orthotists to assess and treat both NHS patients and private patients at NHS hospitals and our private clinics throughout the UK.
What is: an Orthotist (pron: Ortho-tist) is an allied health professional/clinician who practices in NHS Hospitals or in the private sector.

The Orthotist`s role is to assess, prescribe, apply and provide education regarding the use and care of an appropriate Orthosis that serves the patients individual requirements.
What is: an Orthosis is a brace or an appliance that is designed and fitted to the body to achieve one or more of the following goals;
- Control biomechanical alignment

- Protect and support a healing injury
- Assist in rehabilitation
- Reduce pain
- Increase mobility
- Increase independence
Commonly prescibed orthoses include;
- Foot Orthoses, (insoles) for various foot problems
- Footwear (made to measure, modular or stock)
- Ankle and Knee Orthoses, for joint protection or support after surgery
- Fracture Orthoses, the modern alternative to a plater or fibreglass cast
- Spinal Orthoses, providing low back pain relife or helping to control spinal deformities or injuries

Clinic Recption
Many individuals with neuromuscular and/or musculoskeletal disorders exhibit knee instability because of paresis or paralysis of lower limb muscles (Polio and Post Polio Syndrome). These individuals cannot walk safely or efficiently for this reason we have set a dedicated clinical service for patients with these types of pathologies.
Our goal is to provide patients with the most comprehensive clinical and technical support for Stance Control technology available in the UK today; our orthotists have been trained to the highest standard in Stance Control technology and with the most comprehensive back up with technical and clinical support from around the world.
We have been working for some time, with both the orthotic academy team at Otto Bock Healthcare and the clinical and technical support team at both Becker Orthopedic (USA) and Becker UK to bring patients the best clinical care and treatment that is available in the UK today.
At present we are working together with various companies to establish a network of patient care facilities around the UK for our private patients.
We are also working along side the Orthotic Research & Locomotor Assessment Unit, (ORLAU) who regularly see NHS patients that have obtained a referral to come to this specialist centre. This NHS department has one the best and most upto date clinical facilities available anywhere in the UK today.

Walking Gait
The clinical facilities at the Orthotic research & locomotor assessment unit (ORLAU) which is situated at the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Hospital, Shropshire is an NHS department dedicated patient assessment and the provision of function enhancing equipment for disabled patients with mobility issues. NHS patients from outside of this area, can be seen at the clinical department by obtaining a referral from either a GP or Orthopaedic Consultant, They treat a wide range of disabilities but have the specialist knowledge of polio, post polio syndrome, cerebral palsy, spina bifida and muscular dystrophy.
