Adaptations and Repairs to Footwear

Our highly skilled team of orthotic technicians at T&S Orthotics, have many years experience in the manufacture of orthopaedic footwear, adaptations to footwear and repairs, pass down from generation to generation the traditional  skills of manufacturing orthopaedic footwear and shoe adaptations  has been maitained in the company, using only the finest quality components, T&S Orthotics produces some of the finest orthopaedic footwear and quality adaptations in the UK today.

An Adaption may be fitted to either the exterior or the interior of the footwear pending on the patients condition.

 

An Adaptation to a patients own shoe, stock shoe or modular fitting shoes must be prescribed by a qualified clinican. The aim of the adaptions to any footwear is to achieve the following:

  • Improve stability for the patient
  • To accommodate fixed deformities
  • Relive discomfort

The style of the shoe is also important as it is unsafe to adapt shoes with a thin or hollow heel and sole unit. Please note, we will not be able to adapt any shoes that are not of the correct construction or those we deem unsafe to adapt. Please choose your footwear carefully that needs adapting.
