E- Knee Information

The E-Knee™

from Becker Orthopedic is a foot force activated,
computer controlled, electromechanical
orthotic knee joint. It comes equipped with
a pressure sensitive footplate that signals the
microprocessor to lock the knee joint when
pressure is applied and to unlock the knee joint
in the absence of pressure. This technology
gives users unsurpassed freedom and
convenience by enhancing gait symmetry and
allowing for a more efficient gait pattern with
less compensation.

SPL Information

SPL 2 Hinge system

The SPL OrthosesThe SPL OrthosesThe knee hinge for orthosis from Basko Healthcare derives its name from the moment the hinge locks during walking. As one of its kind it is able to both automatically unlock, to allow knee flexion, as well as to lock before heel contact takes place, which means during the swing phase and to unlock again during midstance etc.
In other words, a during the loading phase stable orthosis knee hinge that already locks before the user leans on it.

Another quality of the SPL hinge is that it can only unlock when there is no flexion moment or strain of bending put on the hinge.
Characteristic for the SPL is that it can also be used in knee orthosis and is therefore not dependent on a foot section or the axial pressure on the orthosis for detecting the moment to lock or unlock.

Safety Stride Information

The SafetyStride from Becker Orthopedic is an Ankle activated stance control orthotic knee joint that utilises a low profile cabling system to automatically unlock itself at the end of stance phase. The key features of the SafetyStride is its ability to resist knee flexion at any angle. The SafetyStride does not require full 180 degree Knee extension to resist knee flexion in stance phase.
